Hello! So I recently upgraded my graphics card as well as my PSU so I can finally play some games without it having to look like an N64 game! However, when running games such as Battlefield 4 or Far Cry 3 at max settings, I have difficulties keeping my FPS at a stable 60. I'm not entirely sure just what it can be which is why I'm here! Some of my computer's specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500k CPU @ 3.30GHz
Memory: 8 gigs of RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Display: 1920x1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
750 watt PSU

Not sure what other info might be needed to hopefully get some help around here! Anyways, hope someone can help me. ^_^

well, if you can find some 2nd (some good board), or get the latest (do read some reviews) if you can.
i have the same 2500k, and even with ivy and haswell, it never occured to me to upgrade. That is how good the 2500k is for me.
If it is possible, sell that board (or give to your brother or something) and get a new one. be careful if you get a 2nd hand though. i think the latest chipset is z77? sorry i am not too familiar (since i dont plan to upgrade :) but you can easily check.
If i may, asrock has a good lineup, cheap boards but good ones. Bang for the buck, i have a z68 extreme4 by the way.
oh, toms just published a list of good boards under the readers choice award. Check those, double check before buying :) make sure your cpu is...

After market cooler? Are there any you would personally recommend?

I tried overclocking after watching a video on how to do it but could not find any of the settings that would allow me to do so in the bios. :/

Well damn, that's a shame. :/ So I guess as one final question: what is it that I should upgrade then in this case? Would I be fine just upgrading the motherboard and if so, any recommendations? I'm sorry about all these questions. :l

Well from what I can recall the H61 chipset that is part of your motherboard does not support overclocking so that might be out at least with that motherboard.

As for a cooler I have heard good things about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

As for upgrading the motherboard just to overclock that really depends on how much of a jump in performance you really need. Because Overclocking is not going to be a miraculous jump in performance. But if you are looking for a few frames difference that might do it.

What frame rate are you getting with Battlefield 4? I know with my signature rig I am hitting around 80-90 fps with no overclocking and I am only running GTX 670's ultra settings. And the 2500K base clock is not much different at all from the i5 3570K.

I'll have to check out that list! This graphics card purchase just turned into a bigger investment than I had thought it would be, haha. Thank you for your help! It's REALLY helped out!
