Heyo, i got a new GTX 650 ti boost sc about two months back, and today noticed that it had hit 71C,this is the highest ive ever seen a card go, and its winter!?. is this the normal temp for this type of card? "this was under load on borderlands 2" and what about for the summer, what happens then will it hit the 80's 90's even?, my old card "gtx 660 ti oc" always ran really cool compared to thise one, though it was an open card, this one is enclosed.

Thanks for any reply.

dread a few things...the 660ti is a more powerfull card then the 650ti bost. the 660ti has more cuda cores so in games it does not work as hard. with newer gpu and firmware and drivers on the cards..most new cards they try keep the fans under 40 percent to keep the fan noise down till the card hits x temp. then the fans ramp up. people use programs like msi afterburner to turn the fan on sooner in a fan profile. the last issue is your card the new one is overclocked to the max. with overclocked cards they can run hot. try in msi afterburner to slow the gpu down and see if it runs cooler.

Thats what gets me with it being so cold we put the heating on daily haha, and then i usualy have a ps3 running in the background, that makes the room temp go up even more. I saw a temp of 71c and thought "Oh god that isnt good", never seen a temp that high before.
