I want to install MS-DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 7 all on one computer, on a single 1 TB hard drive. First off, is this even possible? Will there be any compatibility issues? If it not possible, can it be done from multiple hard drives? Will there be any issues with my running these operating systems with modern computer components? Also could I run games from previous versions of windows in windows 7 if I had all of these installed, or would I actually need to load the particular version of windows for which a particular game was originally designed. I will be using the original installation discs for each system. Help appreciated.

first of all, why would you need this?

and i guess the easiest would be to make 6 virtual machines from one single os (virtual box can do it)

I want to be able to play the original copies of vintage games from multiple eras. I do not want to use virtual machines, I will be purchasing original unused installation discs for each os.

you could do with just win7 and a 98 with boot selector. install win 98 and then win7 over it on another partition it will then get a boot selector for each. win98 should play anything prior to xp and win7 can play anything after xp without any issues.

So if I had a floppy drive installed on my computer and windows 98 installed, I could play ms-dos games?
