I have these current specs.
AMD FX 6300
Radeon 6570
Rosewill 630 watt.
Asus M5 a97 R 2.0
8GB ripjaws.

When I run the computer at idle the noise is gone, while at load it becomes frequent pitch/noise whinning. The graphics card actually doesn't have a coil and it seems processor related. I can turn off High performance in the powr save options and it goes away, like balanced or power save. If I put on high performance it comes back. When I turn off high performance my Vcore is 0.867 at 1.4Ghz, but at High performance (i.e buzzing noise.) the vcore is like 1.2 something at idle, the clock is the same. Is it the PSU coil whine?

Solution
What would happen if your PSU can't cope with the load:

•bad 3D performance
•crashing games
•spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
•freezing during gameplay
•PSU overload can cause it to break down

So I think it will be better to test the components by borrowing before you turn off the turbo and change anything. Something is happening with your system otherwise why that high pitch noise.

It's most certainly the PSU, didn't do that in a previous system. It seems to be fine disabling some power save features. Though, on Hardware secrets this is a good PSU. I guess I could be wrong, but don't have the money to buy a new PSU. Should I post a picture of my volts?

Culprit is most certainly coil whine, though, only happens when CPU is at full power. Should I turn off turbo or change the vdrop? That's what seems to cause it, system is stable though. So should I just ignore it?
