It's been a long time since I've replaced components of a pc or built one, so I'm really out dated and a bit lost. Been doing some searching and reading to come up with a cheap, but what I think is an effective build for what I need, however some input would be appreciated.

Basically I'm trying to build a PC that would function alright for games like Skyrim at High settings, though I won't be gaming on it that much to be honest. The PC is more intended for game development purposes, using a combination of Unity, 3ds Max 9, and Photoshop CS3. The reason I only need it to be able to play games to the quality of Skyrim is that I will not be creating anything visually superior to that game.

With all that being said, If anyone thinks I can change parts to reduce costs, or finds any incompatibilities in this setup, I'm open to advise. Here is what I've picked out, I know the CPU isn't great, but I can upgrade in the near future unless anyone thinks it should prioritize over the Graphics Card.

Motherboard - ECS H61H2-MV LGA 1155 Intel H61

GPU - Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB

HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM

DVD - LG 24x DVD Burner - Bare Drive Black SATA

Solution
the way you built it it's balanced. this means if you will want more you will need to upgrade both the cpu and gpu and possibly also the psu.
