Hello guys!

You have nothing to worry about.

The hard drive will run just fine.
A mechanical hard drive won't come close to using the bandwidth available over a SATA II connection. For optimum performance, though, make sure your SATA controllers are running in AHCI mode in the BIOS. If your diskmode is already set to AHCI mode, it's easy. If you have to change this from IDE, you can do so, but this procedure is a little more involved than just changing the mode in the BIOS.

it's a good choice.

mb doesnt support sata3 but hdd can connect on sata2 just as well. the speed will be about 350MB/sec max. considering the hdd can't do more then 100-ish MB/second the limit is not a problem
