Hey all, I'm looking for some help choosing a monitor that would fit my budget and needs as best it can! I recently ordered all the components to my new build, excluding the screen. The build can be seen here: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2grlE

The primary use of this PC is gaming, however I also do some motion graphics work as well as photo/video editing. I'd love an IPS, but with a budget of around £150 (approx $246) I'm not sure I could get a good one suitable for gaming.

In case you didn't read my parts list, I will be running an i5-4670k, with 8GB of ram and an ASUS gtx 770 2GB graphics card. I'd like to be hitting at least 60fps on the majority of games (I play all genres) and would like the screen to be between 23 - 25 inches. I'm not sure what resolution would work best with a 770 (at a min of 60fps), but wouldn't want to go less than 1080p. Inbuilt speakers are of no consequences to me as I'll be using my headset regardless, so if the screen doesn't have inbuilt speakers it is no problem :)

Things like 3D or tilt/swivel abilities etc don't really matter to me,providing it's a good screen that I can get for around £150. So, if you could point out one (or more) decent monitors that would work with the above specs that would be great!

Many thanks, Luke!

Asus vs248h. They go for about $150~ on Amazon. I use two of them. 1080p IPS panels with 2ms response time. They will get the job done for you.

If you've heard of g-sync and are interested in that, i could suggest the VG248QE by asus. It is a TN panel, but it's 144hz and fantastic for shooters.
I used the ASUS VS239H-P(IPS panel from asus) before the VG248QE that i have now, and it was just amazing. But i play lots of shooters and prefer response over color.

I don't know of any Euro tech stores, but the VS239H-P will run you about 170$, so it's actually lower than your budget. I've only heard good things about this IPS monitor, and i enjoyed my experience with it.

I hope this helps!
