Hi, I have taken ownership of a PC with the following specs from a friend. It's pretty decent, but would like to ensure I get the best experience for gaming and audio-visual requirements. Happy to pay a few hundred quid for new graphics card/processor/other item if people think it would be beneficial?

Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio

PSU: 550W Corsair VS

specs looks good. though if you happen to have a 1080p res monitor a card like R9-270X should enhance your gaming experiance. you could sell your current card for a 100$ and with anothe 100$ you can get a r9-270X. you should be able to max out all games without AA.

It'll be hooked up to an Epson TW6100w projector, so yes, 1080p on a 96-inch screen. Did wonder about the R9 270X. Would it make a noticeable difference? And would that be ok with the 550W PSU still?
