So i have a Laptop and a Desktop, and i like to move my laptop harddrive into my desktop when i'm sitting at home, but EVERY SINGLE TIME i move it, windows 8 decides that my user isn't qualified to have all the permissions i keep giving myself, so it changes it all back to standard (Giving me about as much responsibility as a mother gives her baby).

It also just decides that everything in the "Documents" folder should be deleted for some reason. Can i do anything about that as well?

Is the laptop hard drive the internal boot drive? If it is, then that might be part of the problem, as windows can only have one active partition, and your laptop drive would have to be an active partition to be able to boot your laptop, so there would be a conflict in the system from that. I would suggest to avoid the issue, just have your laptop running as well as the desktop, and depending on your modem, link the two systems through a homegroup network setup and share the folders you need to access from the laptop, would probably save a lot of hassles.
