Hi,
I just bought a new system and built it. I bought the Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer card and it worked perfectly on my old PC. On my new PC, there's a feature that comes with this soundcard's control panel called "X-Fi CMSS-3D" - which creates a surround sound environment for high quality audio playback. When I enable this with Microphone +20dB Boost in my recording settings, I get this REALLY bad feedback that can seriously deafen someone, it's very high frequency and it gives me a headache.
I turned on the Microphone +20dB boost because my microphone volume is too low on Skype and other VoIP applications without it being on. Can anyone help me for a fix?
