I use "embedded for lack of a better term. I'm thinking about building a new system and trying to size the SSD correctly. The SSD for the new system would be for OS and programs. I originally was looking at 24--256GB SSD but in looking at what I have on my current computer I probably need less than that, maybe 120GB. But I know that some programs embedded or don't give an option to save data to anywhere but the same drive as the system (i.e. something like saving to C:\\my documents). I would like to avoid this but if it is unavoidable should I plan for more storage as a precaution? I like to keep my systems for a long time so I would want to have the capacity built in if I was likely to need it

For the 'only' drive, 120GB is probably too small. Depending on what you use it for.

As far as 'My Documents', with Win 7 or 8, you can redirect those libraries quite easily, to save to another location.

Thanks for that tutorial I'll check that out. It won't be the only drive, probably I will get a 1TB drive since they are pretty cheap and then when I deconstruct my old computer put that HD on the new one as well so I'd have 2 HDD as backup/data storage
