I am currently stuck with using a Win98 computer after my WinVista computer died. Win98 is okay, but I prefer WinVista--it does so much more than Win98. I'm looking for a good text editor for Win98. It has to have color-coding, macros, running of user-supplied tools, auto-compilation, auto-run on emulators (i.e. calling a program to run another program--I need that most of the time), an easy-to-use interface, templates and usage of same project settings for multiple projects (maybe an NES game compiled under a certain assembler and run under a specific emulator for testing).

Sorry about the laziness. :(  As it turns out, I looked on freewarefiles.com and found it: Notepad++. I tried to correct my mistake before, but the post didn't happen.
