So I recently upgraded to a new mother board and got 2 Radeon 7870s from different manufacturers. I think one of them is dead out of the box but is there anything else I can try before I send it back.I have 2 PCI-e 3.0 slots. Tried the bad card on both slots and got nothing in device manager. Monitors hooked up to it don't show anything but the fans run. I tried the second graphics card on both slots and it's detected on both of them in device manager and I get video output. Is there anything else I can try or is this a confirmation that the card is junk and needs to be replaced?

The laptop uses the Nvidia Optimus Technology. The laptop will use the integrated Intel adapter for normal use.

The Nvidia chip will be used for more graphical intensive applications.

If you open the Nvidia Control panel you can make sure that the games/applications are using the Nvidia graphics.
