How to properly apply thermal grease ?

I bought Intel Core i5-3470 (3.2GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA1155) and i need to apply thermal grease, how to do it, and if the cpu by himself include thermal grease in packaging?

Most of the time, thermal paste is pre-applied on stock heatsinks. There is usually a clear tab to pull off just before mounting. A lot of aftermarket coolers come with a small tube of paste that you apply manually onto the cpu.

If you're going to apply thermal paste, check to make sure that the cooler doesn't have it pre-applied.

To apply thermal paste, on the center of the processor (on the Integrated Heatsink), apply a pea size amount of thermal paste, then mount your cooler! That's it :)
