I almost don't even know where to start as this madness has been going on for nearly a week.
I have a 3TB Western Digital External Drive which I have hundreds of gigs of video data stored on.
When I went to plug it in the other day (for the first time in months) nothing was happening and I could find the drive. The computer didn't even make a sound when plugging it in.
After a few days I came to the conclusion that my USB 3.0 cable was bad and I have a new one.
I removed the drive from the casing and was able to 'see' it in my "disk management" tool. I have Windows 7 Home Premium.
Long story short - I now have paid for iRecovery and even after waiting hours for it to 'recover' my files I cannot seem to find any of my specific .achvd files which are the ONLY ones I care about. 2 years worth of video files that is!
What in the world am I missing? I still keep thinking this isn't happening and I'm really just overlooking the obvious somewhere.
