You just showed a bunch of graphs of console ports from 2011 or earlier. Look at the numbers on Arma 3, Total War Rome II, Metro: LL, Sleeping Dogs, MMOs, etc. More and more games are making full use of CPUs nowadays.

It's better in any CPU intensive game that uses all 4 cores. There are lots of PC exclusive games that do this.

99% of the time, in GAMING, i5 and i7's make no difference what so ever, this is even true of the top end 2011 platform processors.
