When installing this memory, do I need to go into the bios to enable the 1600 or should I leave it at 1333? Does it really matter? I doubt I will see a performance increase, just want the system to be stable.

Solution
Yep should be a simple change, go into the bios, find the OC settings and enable xmp, you will see a difference going from 1333 to 1600 especially on a haswell rig. might could even bump voltage to 1.55v, try setting them to 1866 and 9-10-10-28 timings and see if that will boot for you.

If you have an intel rig go into bios and enable XMP, if you have an AMD rig you'll have to either manually enter the speed AND timings or look for DOCP/EOCP/XMP in the bios to do the same You will see a performance gain going from stock cl9 1333 memory to cl9 or lower 1600 MHz memory, wont be gigantic but it will be noticeable.
