With amd cool & quiet(under clocks cores to 1.7Ghz when idle), also windows core parking(turns off 4 cores when idle) saves a lot on temps. I found my amd 8320 when booting up the pc 1st shows 14c. Then after the gpu, cpu, pcb warms up cases internals I get 24c idle. Running prime95 cpu only test at 4.3ghz for 2 hours with hyper 212 plus (artic silver 5 goo) temps get to 42c. But the hottest I ve gotten it to was in the summer time with 76F room temp, gpu load 100% while gaming for 8 hours was only 45c. Pretty great cpu if you ask me. My old amd 645 would get to 54 under full load stock cooler.
