On website reviews I keep seeing the AMD R9 290X priced at $499 and the AMD R9 290 price at $349. But when I went to NewEgg the prices were $599 and $449. AND I just double checked now and the now the R9 290X is $599 and the R9 290 is $499? Does the NewEgg price change mean that the custom coolers are out? Also why are all out of stock?

Questions:
- Why were reviews pricing the R9 290X and R9 290 at $100 less than what NewEgg had them priced at
- Why is the R9 290 now $50 more than before?
- Why is every brand out of stock of the R9 290 now when they were not last night?
- Are the R9 290's with custom coolers now out?

Thanks for the help! :)

Solution
1: The prices went up
2: Virtucoin miners. AMD is powerful in compute, so they buy them all.
3: Same
4: No, maybe by January

Once the difficulty in litecoin/bitcoin etc goes up the pricing will return to normal.

That made me think the custom cooler had come out. One being discontinued and the other having a higher price than the original.

And I'm not sure what you meant by the difficulty in litecoin/bitcoin going up or what that has to do with the price of the cards.

No, it is just a logo. Same cooler underneath,

Once a certain time goes by they release less litecoin per day to the public. Thus each person gets less of a coin. Eventually the cost of electricity goes past what you make in coin per day and people stop buying.
