I have a standard Verizon fios router. I want to get wireless connection to the other side of my house. Is there a way to connect them so I can have a longer range of wireless

Solution

Your first best choice would be to configure the second router as an AP, and then connect it LAN port to LAN port to the main router. If you cannot get an Ethernet cable to that point, consider using a pair of powerline connectors. If you want fast streaming like for gaming or video, the current fastest powerline adapters are the Zyxel PLA5205kit, which hits 100-125Mpbs.

HERE is a good resource to compare the actual speeds that powerline adapter will achieve.
