Hello gentlemen;

While I was writing the new thread page somehow refreshed itself :??: So I'll just cut to the chase.

My current system:

mobo: ga-p55a-ud3 (rev version 1.0)
psu: chieftec 600 w (ctg-600-80p)
cpu: intel i5 660 @3.33ghz
gpu: asus gtx 660ti
ram: kingston kvr1333d3n9/2g x2 (2x2gig)
hdd: samsung ssd 250gb 840 evo
samsung hd502hj 500 gb

I have decided to buy new gpu, ram, ssd for my system, I checked the specs of my mobo and based on that decision bought the new items.

the new ram: kingston hyperx blu red 2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz

Anyways, I had win 7 32bit enterprise edition on my samsung hdd. I installed every new part, without a problem. Even new rams were working fine since OS is 32 bit which only allowed 3.52 gb of it to be used that I have found normal. So I continued formatting the ssd, making a partition and then restarted, changed the boot options and tried to start the new installation setup for my windows 7 (64bit ultimate). Without a hint, before I come to the setup computer froze at "windows is loading files screen). Although I knew that usb stick was fine and running, I formatted it made a new installation usb and tried again. And for those who'll ask, yes I have the cd of win ultimate but currently I am living in a different country so I left it at home. Usb is easy to carry.

I have tried several times although to no avail. Then from tablet I started searching my problem through the net; there was a brilliant idea for the time that suggests using my old rams. So I did, and it worked perfectly. Now that I have installed 64bit on ssd, I thought "Hey, I have found a backdoor to my problem, now I can put back my new rams and enjoy!" And this time, with the new ram, windows 64bit is not booting. the 32 bit one on my hdd boots without a problem. I can't seem to figure this one out.

What I see on the screen is, a clean boot up, then the line says "loading the operating system", then windows boot up screen but at that moment screen freezes before flying windows logos come, so I have to turn off the system in order to get out of it. When I try to make a repair on windows installation, "windows is loading files" bar loads up twice then freeze again. All of this happens with the new ram.

I have been working on this problem endlessly for 3 days now, here are things that I have tried so far;

- went to a friend with a desktop and tried them out, he has 64bit home edition and they worked out perfectly.

- The initial ram I bought was kingston hyperx blu red 2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz. I thought these were the problem since their voltage was 1.65v and I have thought they are giving hard time for mobo to juice them accordingly. So I went back and changed them with the adequate ones for the voltage.

The new ram is kingston hyperx genesis 2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz (and it is PnP...) They are operating with 1.5v. The problem still persists.

- tried the rams one by one not working; combining them with the old ones, not working, one old one new and their combinations, not working.

- through M.I.T of the mobo, I have decreased memory clock on ram, not working

- I increased the voltage on rams, this time on the windows loading screen, it froze with some random tiny colorful pixels on the screen. I immediately turned off the system.

- I used memtest, everything seems fine.

- I have updated bios, cleared cmos, resetted bios, not working.

- I have even updated the damn windows :D not working.

- I have disconnected my old harddisk; this time on boot up system did not detect the windows on my ssd and it kept searching for a bootable device then rebooted.

I am currently writing to this thread in my desktop using my old rams and i am using my 64bit os without problem.

the mobo specifications clearly states that I "should" be able to use these new rams without problem.

Please, I am open to any suggestions and ideas, Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Did check your ram placement are connected firmly and correctly? Try unplug them and the power cord. Hold the start button for 30 seconds so that you are releasing the remaining power in the mobo and then plug them back in.

Yes, right now I am using 32bit system on my old harddisk and they are connected firmly and correctly.

I did as you suggested but nothing changed. :(

It is probably a motherboard issue but I am not sure why. probably dual channel problem but I have no clue how to fix this.
