I am trying to decide on 2 keyboards; Cm storm Rapid or the Tt esports Poseidon.

What I like about the Rapid
-Doesn't have the right number pad thing which I never use
-Made by coolermaster. Have the Storm Scout 2 case in white and I love it.
-$5 cheaper
What I like about the Poseidon
-Backlight Keys.
Thats the only noticeable difference I can see. Any idea on what I should get?

how about an (almost) indestructible keyboard then. the unicomp customizer. built like a tank and handles minor spills fine.

of your first two choices .... just pick what you like. they arent much different. backlighting is a joke since you shouldnt be gaming in the dark anyways.
you have a storm scout 2 in white... so how about a white keyboard?

cm storm quick fire tk white

Hey, not all of us stick to respectable waking hours!
:p
Plus, there is definitely an element of aesthetics, which is important when your not a touch typist.

gaming in the dark (well being in front of any monitor or tv in the dark) is bad for your eyes hence my point above. backlit keyboards really do not look all that spectacular during the day or in bright sunlight or even with lights turned on which makes it a moot point as the white letters on black keyboards are easy enough to see.

i might be online at odd hours as well but i always have the light on. while we are all at fault for being in the dark (sometimes i watch movies like this) its really not a good habit to get into and it is best to avoid it.

i concede that backlit keyboards do have a certain sense of aesthetics to them. as you may have guessed from reading posts across the forum i tend to focus on practicality first and aesthetics second so maybe i'm biased.
