can this computer run graphic intensive games today on high/ultra at a respective and playable framerate? 720p or 1080?
Fx 6300
Xfx 1gb 7850
500w psu
8gb ddr3 1600 ram
ASrock 970 extreme3 mobo. Please get back to me.

I suggest a stronger gpu (gtx 770 or r9 280x) then you will be able to play games at ultra 1080p.

According to the benchmarks, you should be able to play BF4 on high @ 1080p on the 7850. Since BF4 is more intense than planetside, you should be able to max out planetside.

Yes and yes, but i suggest against that case as the PSU will be horrible. I suggest a corsair builder 500w and corsair 200r case.
