My computer boots fine. Speed in windows XP is normal. I can browse the web, play Path of Exile for hours without an issue.
I have 4 GB of G-Skill RAM DDR3 1333mhz. Ran memtest86 @ 1333 mhz then again at 800 mhz of RAM speed
It's always the same 3 failing addresses. One address fails test 2 and 7, the other 2 addresses fail test 5.
No program crashes, even after hours of gaming and alt-tabbing, with Windows Task Manager reporting available physical memory as low as 300 MB.
Of course I am using Windows XP 32 bit, which can only address up to 3.2 GB or so. Could this mean that I'm lucky and that the 3 failing addresses are NOT used by Windows at all?
Are there any long term negative consequences to using this faulty RAM that seemingly works fine?
