So I am considering building a computer for the first time but am pretty much in the dark when it comes to a build. I would like to use it for casual gaming and home videos as well as school work and streaming videos. So far I have found a hand full of componets that sound great but I need to know if its overkill or if I even have all the componets I need to complete the build. Thanks.

your CPU is LGA2011 socket, but your mother board is LGA1150

LGA2011 is not needed, stick to LGA1150 or 1155 which uses Ivybridge or Haswell (Sandy bridge is 3 generations old and only supports PCIe2.0, but is still good). If buying a Zxx mobo, then these are usually for overclocking, so you'll need a K CPU. Usually an I5 is sufficient rather than I7. you don't need to spend so much on the Mobo and memory, unless you want to.

Would this work for a cheaper mobo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128654) if I bought an i5 rather than an i7 would I be able to run current/future mmos? Do i need 16gb of ram or would 8gb be enough?
