GTX 760 (Asus) vs 7850

It looks like the GTX 760 will give you about 35% more performance. In terms of value, the GTX 760 might also come with a couple free games, including Assassin's Creed IV. You might also find some value in the unique Nvidia technologies that will allow you to play around with PhysX, Adaptive VSync, Shadowplay, Geforce Experience, and some of the new quality settings like FXAA, TXAA, HBAO+. In general, if you can afford it, its always a good idea to bump up your performance from an entry level card to an upper/mid-level card.

Do you have the 7850 - or what are you upgrading from - sounded like trying to decide between upgrading from one or other - if you have the 7850 - I'd say no, at least not right now, wait till the end of Jan when nVidias new cards come out and see if the 760 (or better yet the 770's price drops)

I have a 7850. Everyone is telling me to get a 760. I want to get a 250 dollar pc upgrade.

Are you limited in any of your current games? Do you plan to play some new more demanding games? Those are important considerations, but if you are targeting a $250 upgrade, a new video card is the best bang for the buck.

Here's the official page about the free games in the Nvidia bundle to tell you where to buy (if the promotion is still valid).
