Has anyone had any experience with Hot CPU tester?

http://www.7byte.com/index.php?page=hotcpu

My computer is currently having erratic behavior where it will randomly freeze but does not go to BSOD, similar to the behavior described in this (now closed) thread:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/11694-63-windows-freezes-randomly-bsod#.

The only remedy is to power off and back on. Here are my system specs:

Core i5-750 @ 3.2 GHz (originally, see below, now 3.0 GHz)
GA-P55A-UD3 w/ BCLK @ 160 MHz (originally, now 150), F11 BIOS
G.Skill Ares 8GB RAM (2x4GB) 1600MHz rating (x10 multiplier) 9-9-9-24
EVGA GTX 560 Ti SC
Creative SB X-Fi
WD Black 640GB
Antec Earthwatts 650W
Win 7 64 bit

----------------------------------
The details:

I have a number of issues that may have compounded, and I suspect that the MB may be failing. The usual answer to this is "just swap out the MB and see if it makes a difference." Two problems with this - (1) my MB is legacy, it is now difficult to obtain a socket 1156 MB. Amazon has some Intel versions for >$100, which brings me to (2) if I'm forking out >$100 for a new MB just to test for faults I might as well buy a new socket and processor and just speed up my rig. I don't have another MB to swap out. Thus I'd like to find a MB diagnostic tool.

I have run Memtest86 through multiple passes and found no errors - the G.Skill RAM is new and I suspected that it might be the RAM, but I'm not seeing failure here. I did recently resolve a BSOD issue where the CPU voltage was too high, on dialing back to stock the system stabilized. Thus since multiple things changed recently, it is hard to say for sure what the issue is.

I have run Prime95 for hours and no errors. But then I'll just be surfing the web and the computer freezes. I have run WD HHD test utility and my HHD passes. Could be the RAM is to blame but is very random, or maybe my OC is to blame. So I dialed back the BCLK to 150 MHz from 160, and I have not had the freeze issue yet. But that was only yesterday and the freeze occurs very randomly and in spurts - a few times in a row, then nothing for days.

But who knows, maybe it is some driver that was installed. I have AVG Free which updates itself all the time, or Steam, or Nvidia Geforce Experience which also updates often. I checked the chipset drivers and they seem to be up to date (when I attempted to install the drivers from GA's website, the installer claimed my current driver was newer).

A couple of other oddities that make me suspect the MB - two nights ago on shutdown the computer went through the usual Windows-shutting-down screens, then the monitor went off but the computer did not power off. In addition, the reset button has stopped functioning - I'm going to attempt a jumper on it once I can find the time to buy one in the next couple of days.

Thanks.

Hang on, I've just noticed in CPU-Z that the MB has auto-set the RAM to 10-9-9-24. I wonder why, given that the stock stetting is stated as 9-9-9-24? The plot thickens, I will attempt to force it to 9-9-9-24 and look for instability.
