I bought recently i7 4770k with mobo asus maximus vi hero cpu running @ 4.2 (I know it's not much) I am getting about 90c on FPU test @ 1.2 v AIDA64 and if I run higher voltage I will hit 100c I know it's high temp. but I tryed everything nothing to do with it! I am using Asus AI III for OC because I am begginer in OC, but in the same time my system is stable I am able to play BF4 on ulta @ 1920X1080 100+ fps and compress HD video in the same time and geting just 55~65 c temp. and system run normally , so what do you think guys I should worry about my CPU and try to return it or just forget about those stress test and just keep using my pc in real world apps?? please advice me.

In conclusion your okay :D
Your rig will seldom be under 100% load when gaming. The games move too quickly and change demands too often to really load the system continuously. However, if you plan on folding, the constant load will be there.

Watch your temps as you have been doing - during real world use. Pay closer attention if you fold.

I don't think I am gonna folding on this pc, I want to ask in this temps problem covered by warranty?

Are you using the stock cpu cooler from Intel? If you are, that's a big part of the high temps. The stock cooler is not meant to be used for o/c - you need an aftermarket cooler.

Intel is pretty good about replacing bad cpu's, but in this case I wouldn't think they would consider this a bad chip, rather it's an abuse of the cpu by not providing adequate cooling.

thank you for replying, I wanted to add:
that when I do AIDA64 stress test if I select CPU + FPU + system cash + memory I get average temps of 65~ 67 on each core I hit 76~ 80 rarely and system runs fine , the problem is if I run FPU test only I will go very high! but in any real world application or game evrything is ok so far
