Would an upgrade to an R9 270X OR R9 280X (from a 7850) be good for gaming?

I'm running 2 1440x900 monitors, I have a 620 watt power supply, an MSI 970a-g46 motherboard, an FX-8350 CPU, and an antec 300 case. Would this bring a great performance boost? Is it worth it? I currently have an HIS IceQ X 2gb 256-bit 7850 OC'd to 1ghz core clock and 1400mhz memory clock. Thanks!

the r9 270X would technically be an improvement but not that much, id save up and get an r9 280X to match your CPU better, it will be worth it in the long run cuz the 270X is already like a HD 7870GHz rebranded (which isn't a HUGE step up from the 7850 as it is)
