I bought 480GB Sandisk SSD Extreme II couple days ago. I was excited about this drive and I was disappointed when received the drive. The outer box sealed was broken as well as the plastic sealed inside.

Also, there is a white label on the drive which tell me this drive was (maybe) a displayed drive.

I was about to install this drive to my laptop and I will be oversea in about 2 weeks. This make me so frustrated.

Its also possible newegg made a mistake and accidentally shipped an open box drive. FAR more likeky is someone returned it and they missed the broken seal. But that happens to every company occasionally. Whining that newegg has "lost your trust" over what may be a simple mistake and which you have made no attempt to address with them is just silly. I can't imagine what your intent in posting this would be because everyone knows newegg is one of if not the TOP PC component retailers in the US. Your tantrum won't discourage anyone.

And really? A white number tag makes you think it was a display? In what store do you think newegg used it as a display model? And if newegg had stores how would looking at it harm it?

Bottom line. Stop whining like a little girl, contact newegg, get it fixed. They have great customer service and you have two whole weeks. You're complaining about nothing.

Look at your emails that you received from Newegg after purchasing your drive.
You normally receive two, one that confirms your order, and the second when your order has been shipped.

If it says "refurbished" anywhere in the email then that means that you clicked on the link for the refurbished drive by mistake thinking that it was a new drive.

First of all, nothing wrong being a little girl. Second Newegg did have display store, please read from link below

There was an RMA tag attached to the box as well. I forgot to post the tag. There were no accident here I believe.

well i'm also loosing trust in newegg. my buddy and i ran into the same thing buying new and getting somthing that was suspect. one of the last vid cards he got look like it was used and was defective. i got a thing or two that left me wondering. newegg is not the egg i grew up with. its like there trying too hard to be likes amazon. last 2 mobos i got from them just were bad its like theres too much hit or miss with them nowadays. and then there pricing ''WOW'' one day its 159 the next day its 189 2 days latter its 134 and then its back to 179 i mean how can i buy seeing that going on?? one thing i had on my list for a wile was priced at 220 then black friday sales started up and the price went up $85. most all things on my x-mas list went up $25 just in time for the holadays. ''on sale buy now and save'' dont think so , i'll wait for the regular everyday lower prices to come back after the holadays but more than likely my buy elsewere. we'll see reading through there reviews you see alot of that ''looked used'' and way too many came doa.
