I need to re-install Windows 8 on my Dell PC but i need a bootable option (in this case USB) since a virus has locked me out completely from Windows login menu.
can i burn/create a USB bootable Windows 8 with my MAC OS?? I then need to use it with my PC.

thanks in advance

You can do this on a USB, but it is much more simple to do it on a writable DVD. All you have to do is have an ISO and burn it to the DVD. Its what I did to install Win 7 long time ago.

Ok so if i have the .ISO file i only burn the contents on DVD? It didn't work. Should i burn the contents of the ISO or just the ISO itself?

How do i burn? Using built in software for MAC? Disk utility?

I tried burning the .ISO using built in software and it doesn't work. Is there a special way burn content that will be used by PC platform??

I'll try to guide in a step by step process but I don't have the tools right in front of me now so...

On your mac, insert a DVD-RW into the optical drive (make sure its a writable dvd)
Open up OSX and go to the location of your ISO file using finder
Right click -> open with -> Disk Utility
Disk utility should now open
Now on the left side-bar, you should see your file
Right click on it -> Burn
The steps are quite simple from here (it tells you what to do)

Yes Perfect thanks!

But i now have a new problem since my windows 8 key is embedded in notebook and during boot option it is asking me to enter product key which i don't have stored anywhere. (no sticker on the back on new OEM windows 8 notebook) :( . Let me know if by any chance if you would have the answer.

thanks again for solving problem!

Hmmm, maybe you should contact Microsoft for this problem. Or...
Have you seen the new PIRATE movie, the main character tries to find a island and leaves his ship in a BAY. oh and did you know that most urls end in DOT COM

I'll try to send a personal message, cuz I don't want to get kicked off this website

I knew i should have seen the new PIRATE movie!!! ;)
