I can't get 3rd Monitor to display at 1440p?

Recently bought 3x 27" 1440p Samsung monitors (S27B970D). I wanted to run them all obviously at 1440p but only two are running at 1440p resolution and the third one is running at 1080p. Why is that?

I run 7970 6GB cards in Crossfire.

My center monitor has a displayport connection and the two flanking monitors are via DVI.

When I go into windows screen resolution screen (left click -> screen resolution) I come across all my monitors, my center and right monitor have the slider go up to 1440p, but the left monitor only goes up to 1080p.

The DVI cable I use for my two flanking monitors are exactly the same only different lengths. And the one not doing 1440p is the shorter of the two cables.

Not sure what to do now. Any ideas?

EDIT: Here is the DVI cable I am using: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812189047

I got a new monitor and am having the same issue. My third monitor, of the same model, won't display in 1440p. I tried swapping cables and got the same thing. This is the second monitor I tried.

Why would this happen? Now I'm pretty frustrated as I spent a lot of money for this set-up to work and having 2 1440p monitors and 1 1080p monitor looks really bad.

I need help :(

EDIT: Should I go out and buy a Displayport cable and try that instead of DVI? I have my center monitor on DP, my right on DVI and now my left on DVI but left only going up to 1080p. Should I get a DP for it? I'm aiming for Eyeinfinity and I know one monitor needs to be DP, the main one. Which it is. Can there be more than one? The monitor came with a DP to DP cable, I need to buy a DP to mini-DP cable for my Gfx card to try it out.

Well, I finally figured it out and it is on my end.... MY BAD.

I looked up the specs for my graphics card and it has the following inputs: (1) HDMI, (2) Mini-DisplayPorts, (1) Single-Link DVI, (1) Dual-Link DVI.

The stupid second DVI input is a SINGLE LINK, not a double link. So it's maximum output is 1200p and since my monitor is 16:9 it's maximum is 1080p.

SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, since I have the HDMI slot taken up with my TV, and the Dual Link taken up with a Monitor, I still have one open mini-display port. So I am over-nighting a Mini-DisplayPort Male to DisplayPort Male 1.2 cable. I'll get it tomorrow and this stupid issue will be fixed.

Took me a week to figure this out... I was always under the assumption both my DVI inputs on my expensive ass graphics card were DL-DVI inputs. Oh well, I'll make it work now.

Only question remains will EyeInfinity work if two monitors are using DisplayPort and one uses DL-DVI....???
