Solution O O Outlander_04 Dec 10, 2013 Definitely use 64 bit Win 8 will update for free to 8.1 anyway . If you do not like the metro screen its easy enough to add a free start button program to Win 8 . I use one called Classic Shell . It is free

I recommend windows 8.1, as it is the same price but better performing. Windows 8.1 doesn't have the Start Menu it has the Start button that goes to the Start "Screen" aka Metro.
