Hello, i have a maximus formula vi motherboard, but when i was fixing the antenna for wifi i accidentally pressed the clear CMOS button on the back while the computer was on. It made a loud screech sound and then computer restarted. Luckily it booted up normal and now i'm paranoid. Should i be worrying about anything?

I suspect it still would have reset any bios changes you made but maybe not, go back and look to see. I wouldn't think it would hurt anything though I wouldn't recommend that being the new method of clearing one's cmos :)

If you had any customizations, they have been reset to default settings.
You didn't hut anything.

But changes in the bios, like an enable XMP for overclocked memory, or any cpu overclocking settings are all back at their default.
Custom fan profiles, boot device order, stuff like that.
