Hey guys long time reader first time poster so go easy on me. First I just wanna let everyone know I have been building gaming rigs since 06 so I have a fair amount of experience but the last year I have seemed to develop a bit of pc building ocd. It sounds stupid but I replaced my motherboard to a p8z77-v and I bought a new psu but was squealing really bad with coil whine so I sent it back and popped in a different one which I pulled out for another rig. After that I temporarily put my old backup psu in my rig until I could get my ax760 corsair so in total I've had 3 power supplies plus the new one so I've removed 3 from the new board. Now here is where the ocd starts, everything is good and permanently installed. I've been using it 24/7 for the past week but something hit me hard and I can't for the life of me stop worrying about it. I started thinking that since I have pulled 3 power supplies out since the board was new that I somehow loosened up the 24 pin atx connector but I know it's fine and it's not going to short out but it's bothering me so bad thinking I somehow weakened the solder joint even though I did everything carefully. I've never seen a 24 pin break off in all the years and quite frankly never worried much about it. Please guys help me sleep at night lol do they hold up and how many times have you guys installed/removed psu in the same board?

Solution
well i have had psu problems in the past and i had to swap out psu's quite a few times on my motherboard and it still makes a solid connection, if anything it feels a bit easier to plug in and remove the power connector.

i seriously doubt you would have caused any damage unless you were very rough with it. one thing i have learnt is that pc components are way tougher than you think. They seem fragile and likely to break with just the smallest amount of force, but can take a lot more than we give them credit for. i remember building my first rig and and being in such a panic about the amount of force required to install some componenets.
