4670k vs 4770k 780 ti sli?

I've been doing some looking around, but I can't find any benchmarks that really cover what I'm looking for. I know that both of the cpu's are great for gaming, but how big of a difference would I see between them on a 780 ti sli config?

I don't have this now, but I will early next year. I have most of my system planned out, except for the cpu.

Also, is the Kraken X60 still the best water cooler for oc'ing?

Why would you spend your money on 780 Ti SLI and not get the best CPU?

If you are asking whether or not an i7 is noticeably stronger than an i5; I can assure you it is. For complicated and distressing reasons I recently went from an i5-3570K to an i7-4770K. CPU usage in Metro: LL went from 60% to 40%. BF4 uses 45% usage...

if you go with multicofiguration card, then go to with the strongest available processor..
because frame synchronizing between 2 card or more, need more horse power than if it running in single setup..

yes, until today h110 and kraken x60 is the best liquid cooling for overclocking..

not much. i5 and i7 perform identical when gaming. and since your water cooling, you could go with cheaper R9-290X and its custom cooling solution's will be out by january. if they manage to outperform GTX 780Ti they are way better choice and since your water cooling it, custom downdraft coolers wont effect the OC much

Anyways if you are gonna SLI the strongest 2 cards out, get a 6 core IB-E.

Also I have to recommend a 290 over the 780 Ti. You can nearly get two of them for the price of one 780 Ti. Save some money and get 3 x 290's instead of 2 x 780 Ti's. You will actually have enough VRAM to unleash them too...

The water cooling is for a closed loop config for the cpu only. However, what all would I need for a full loop?

I've never dealt with 2011. If I go with that, would you be able to give me a good build list? I was only going to start with one gpu for now, but get another when I get the money. The max I can spend as of right now without the second gpu is $1800, maybe $1900, but no more. Can I still expect a good build with that?

@Dingleberg custom loops will cost a good $200+ plus additional blocks for CPU, GPU.

and 2x GTX 780ti is overkill unless you happen to have a 4k monitor. but if you do want to, then go with R9-290X they will cost 100$ less you can spend extra cash on a 600$ 4930K and a good quality mobo should cost 200$

I plan on running a 120hz/144hz 1080p monitor and another beside it in portrait. I'd really like to play my games at max settings. What should I look at that wouldn't be overkill for this?

LOL you can make a GREAT build. So once again I reccomend you get a 290 in a couple weeks once the new coolers are out. Then when prices drop you add another one. Then when prices drop again you add a third. You will save a boat load of money and have more performance. Plus 780 Ti's don't have enough VRAM for a good crossfire/SLI.

As for a motherboard: Go on Newegg and get a good ASUS or ASROCK ATX board with 3-way sli support. This is your PC. You should have the most say in what it uses. We will guide you, not take the wheel! ;)

How does this look? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2ie3t

I already have one set of that ram, so I'm going to get another. I've heard good things about that psu, but idk if it's overkill for this build.

Are there any improvements you would make?

It seems solid as hell to me! As long as you can get that PSU for $200 it is worth the overkill. Make sure you wait for the 3rd party coolers to get the 290... I recommend SAPPHIRE.

@Dingleberg thats a nice build but if you dont want to update your bios you may wanna change the mobo. now bios flash is an easy job but sometimes if there is a power outage or if you update to the wronge version your mobo is gonna be dead. so try to get a dual bios board.

as for the gfx card. instead of the reference one you picked there wait till mid january. by then some 3rd party cards should arrive. reference cooler of R9290 is just plain crap.
