Battlefield 4 freezing; possible memory issue?

While I play Battlefield 4, the game will run fine at a fairly decent frame-rate on high settings (about 40-60 frames), then it begins to freeze up at random intervals while playing. After the freeze stops, the game goes back to a normal frame rate, but as of recently, I've been noticing a lot of frequent freezing in-game, and it's slowly starting to make the game unplayable as I further progress. Here are my specs:

MoBo: Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+
CPU: AMD FX8350 Vishera @ 4GHz
GPU: Two MSI Radeon HD 7770's in CrossfireX
RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24)

Do you guys think it could be a memory issue, or does it have to do with my GPU setup? The reason I posted in the memory section is because I know my Processor is not the problem, and I can normally play other, more graphically intensive, but less memory intensive games just fine at high-ultra settings. If memory is the issue, should I look into purchasing the same amount of GB of memory, but at a higher frequency, or should I go for 16 gigs of memory?
