Hello everyone. Today all of my components came in the mail, except for my video card (I ordered it seperately).

I have:
CPU: i5 4670k
Mobo: Asrock Z87 Fat4lity Killer
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Sniper
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro
HDD: WD Blue Caviar 1 TB
PSU: Rockwell 630W
CD Drive: Asus 24x DVD
OS: Windows 7 Home OEM

I'm still waiting for my R9 270X to get here.

It is my understanding that the Asrock mobo doesn't have integrated graphics, but the i5 4670k has an integrated graphics core within it. Does this mean I could go ahead and put the system together and install the R9 270X GPU when it arrives?

If I did this, are there any forseeable problems or consequences?

Thanks!

Your CPU has built in graphics capability. If you have some sort of graphics connector on the motherboard (e.g. DVI, HDMI, DSUB), simply connect your monitor to this and you can use the graphics capability of the CPU. When you new video card arrives, just install it and connect the monitor to the video card instead, then install drivers for the video card.

Sorry wasn't trying to complicate things. I wasn't sure if he was going with an aftermarket cooling and the thermal solution that comes with the with heat sinks aren't always the best. Besides it never hurts to ask since it wasn't mentioned in his post.

Hello everyone. I just finished putting the system together. Plugged in the power, pressed the power button--viola! POST and Windows install begins. Now I'm just downloading all of the Windows 7 updates, lol.

Thanks for the help.

And sorry, I meant Rosewill Green 630W PSU.

By the way, I'm using the EVO 212 heatsink and the coolmaster thermal paste that came with it.
