I finally got my GTX 660 and I'm not very wowed by the results its giving. I dl GPU-Z and everything seemed to be running at stock settings (I dont OC). People say to try out furmark to see if its really runnig properly and so I tried running my MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr edition and it gave me these results

1219 pts with an average of 20fps. Are there settings on control pane for nvidia I have to change? I checked vsync and its off. I checked out other furmark results with same card and it was getting 35fps for the 1080 preset comparisons.

thats the comparitive and the gtx 660 isn't the same one I have, but it should be realitively the same right? I'm almost about half the amount of pts it has. I checked drivers and they are all updated so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. I don't think anything is bottlenecking either.

My setup
Windows 7 64bit
I5 3570 @ 3.4ghz
ripjaws 12gb ram 1600 spd
PSU 550w

Any help or recommendations would be nice. I really dont wanna mail this back in. For some reason simple games like league of legends i only get 40-60 on utlra high. I've seen ppl get 100+ on AVG.

Got better... not sure exactly what I did tbh. I found an article saying that you have to change the vsync setting in "Nvidia Control Panel" to adaptive. I'm still not scoring as high as some benchmarks say they are with this card, but at least it went up 10 frames.

1219 to 1856 pts

Article claiming the vsync issue.

At the end of the day I just want my games to run smooth at high settings. FPS is just a way of making me extra confirmed that I payed for what I got.

Anyone know good settings for NVIDIA Control Panel?
