hi.i just upgaded from a 5 years old pc with 4 gb ram and an intel core 2 quad q 8300 to an 8 gb ram and a amd fx 8320 with asrock extreme 3 mobo.i also changes the windows from 7 home edition to ultimate.for some reason i cant understand the pc seems to be slower than the old one.could it be because the windows ultimate is a trial version?i have also installed all the drivers
new cpu,ram and motheroboard but pc slower than the old one

^ No, It makes no difference if windows is activated or Not. For first 30 days (trial period) it makes absolutely 0 difference. After 30 days, windows will disable some features, like wallpaper, Aero Desktop , computer will restart after regular time period some warning will be shown to get it activated but performance is still not affected at all.
Please follow the following directions and check your system
Right click on taskbar, and open task manager, click on the "Processes" tab in the Task Manager. Maximize Task Manager, Expand the details of each column so that you can read the text completely. Now click on the "CPU" column, this columns shows the amount of CPU in percentage each process is using and when you click on the column name. the column gets sorted with the processes which uses the maximum amount of CPU being on top and those which use less CPU will be on bottom.
Now close all the open windows that you are using. Let system run idle for 2-3 minutes. Now Go to task manager and see the name of the process that is using the maximum amount of CPU, it should be "System Idle Process". If it is not the "System Idle Process", check what is the program that is using the maximum CPU. Do you recognize the program? Is it some program that you use and have installed on your machine? If it is not needed that uninstall/remove it from system. If it is needed try removing and reinstalling it.
If it is an Antivirus program, like Mcafee or Norton. Remove it and install the latest AVG or Microsoft Security Essentials.
Most likely your problem will be solved if you follow the above steps correctly, if it doesn't. come back and give information on what you found after following above steps, we will help further.
