hello everyone,

i am considering building a pc and i am a bit confused as to which mobo should i get.

i am currently debating between maximus hero VI or sabertooth x87. as far as i know the maximus brand is towards gamers and sabertooth is more of a tougher board?

the purpose of the pc will be data mining and modelling financial markets. also i would like to have the option to play games but thats a bonus.

also i would prefer to go with a blue theme, i prefer the asus brand so please let me know if there is a way to do that since maximus is all red.

what mobo should i get for my purpose.

It really comes down to the kind of IO options you need bundled with the boards. The Maximus boards have a more gaming/overclocking centric freature set. If you're focusing on mining and less on gaming, then the Sabertooth is a fine base for the build as are the WS boards (for 4-way GPU and Xeon CPU support if needed).

Thank you for your answer Raja, the WS boards are out of my budget if i include the xenon processors. I would like to know if i can choose the maximus hero VI board over clock my CPU in order to mine, is that option viable?

Also what market is sabertooth line of product focusing on?
