I am running an older Acer laptop Aspire 5610Z with 1 GB memory. Originally had Vista - Installed Win 7 home premium clean. With Vista before and now with Win7 the hard drive stays heavily active for about 25-30 minutes after any startup or reboot or after waking from sleep mode. The drive is so active that the computer is hardly usable with delays of approx. 15-20 seconds after each kb or mouse input. After the 25 to 30 minutes the drive stops unusual activity and the computer functions normally (until it is shutdown or sleeps again)
Any idea how to diagnose what is causing this activity?
