I have a Dell inspron 531s, the plastic bracket on the motherboard that holds the heatsink
in place broke. Can I use a standard AM2 bracket or is it a propitiatory dell one. Also can I use a regular AM2 heatsink or do I haft to get a dell replacement. I can get a replacement AM2 bracket on amazon for $1.99 free shipping.

Solution
From what i,ve seen, Dell use a bog standard AM2/AM3 heatsink bracket so a cheap AM2/3 bracket should fit.

Put just incase dell decided to put a special type of bracket, can you take a quick pic of the bracket.
