My Vostro screen flickered twice, and showed a BSOD abruptly. It never went past a very distorted image of "Starting Windows" after that, showing a BSOD each time.I was able to boot it in Safe Mode though.I then disabled "AMD Radeon 6450M" using device manager.I booted it up normally again and it worked!Basically, its running on my Intel card now. However,if I try to switch my gpu to AMD,I get the BSOD.Re-enabling the AMD GPU and rebooting gives me a BSOD as well. After uninstalling my drivers, even re-installation resulted in a BSOD.Midway through the installation,it showed a BSOD and I had to switch to Safe Mode to disable my AMD Card again. Is this a hardware problem or a software problem? How can this be fixed?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

okay, i've already download your attachment..

bccode:116..

well, your gpu card is unstable, commonly happen to overclocked graphic card..

so, my question is..do you overclock your graphic card?

let's try this..

1. Reset your laptop bios to original default setting.

2. if problem persist, clean your driver a long with amd chipset driver and ccc (all amd related software and profile) using driversweeper..=> http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html
then try to reinstall your driver..

3. if problem persist, try to change your memory module..because apu use memory module as video ram, maybe your ram is fail.

4. if problem persist, well, hate to say it, reinstall your operating system..

what is you bccode? we can analyze what is really happening from you bsod dump file..

upload you bsod dump file, and we'll examine it..

How do I reset my laptop bios to its original setting? And will resetting my BIOS lead to any data loss?

I've tried everything except changing the RAM and re-installing the OS.Assuming the worst case scenario, that is if my graphics hardware is at fault, can I repair/replace it?

I was finally able to install my catalyst driver.Turns out I hadn't uninstalled the previous copy completely and the overwrite was causing problems. But the re-boot after re installation gave me the same BSOD.I had to go into safe mode and disable my Radeon through Device Manager to boot it in normal mode. So,I still can't use my AMD GPU.I guess I forgot to add the following part in description-Before this problem occured,my screen flickered, and I got a message saying"Your display driver stopped responding and has recovered"followed by the appearance of the BSOD.Is this of any consequence?
