Ok so this is my first build and Im plugging stuff up now, but im a bit confused. I have a rosewill 550w psu which came with 2 cables labelled sata. I am wondering though which one connects to what. Both of them have 5 plug ins on them, I have two plugged from my psu to my hard drive, and then I have the cables from motherboard to hard drive, but Im not sure what to do with the extra plugs on the psu cables?

I cant tell how to post pictures on here or I would, help with that would be great as well.

If you have one sata cable from power supply to HD, one from power supply to Optical drive, Separate sata cable from board to HD, and one from board to Optical drive you're good. The power supplies come with more stuff than most people need b/c when they made that power supply they had no idea what the end user might need to power. (the one from the power supply is actually just a power connect, technically not a sata cable, the smaller one going from board to hd/optical drive is a sata cable)
