AMD HD 7800 Large Icons Issue

Hello, very very confused as to whats happened with my custom built PC. My screen has gone HUGE, changing the resolution doesn't help, before this happened my screen simply said 'D-Sub not available' or something like that and wouldn't do anything, then i got it to switch on and everything is still Large, like its in safe mode. but its not, Ive re-installed drivers, and the AMD CCC, nothing has helped. has my Graphics card died? (little worried) or is it simply a weird setting i know nothing about. appreciate any help :)

Well, did it cause any bsod..?


okay, try to reseat your graphic card..
clean the golden bridge with contact cleaner or pencil eraser..

no bsod yet...

ive noticed when the icons are large the monitor isnt actually registering, i.e i cant see its selected under the resolution page in resolution settings, its just says generic non pnp monitor where as when it looks ok (the screen) its says E2242 (Model) very confused.
