Should I uninstall my 7950 drivers before crossfiring?

I am currently running an HIS Radeon HD 7950 graphics card on my rig. I recently bought a second VisionTek Radeon HD 7950 on black Friday and was hoping to crossfire. I have the xfire bridge and was getting ready to put the new card in my PC when I thought about drivers and compatibility.

I looked up several tutorials regarding crossfiring and it says to uninstall my drivers prior to putting the card in. I was wondering if this was for people who are "upgrading" cards and crossfiring or if there are secondary crossfire drivers that need to be installed as well.

I have not done this before and am sort of a newbie in regards to the hardware technicalities of computers.

I am running an ASRock z68 mobo and a 850w ps.

My questions are as follows.
1. Since I am upgrading to the same card should I still do this uninstalling of drivers?

2. If so should I just use the install disk that came with my VisonTek card to install drivers for both cards? Are there even differences in drivers for the different "brand" cards?

3. Does sound like cause for concern or should I just go ahead?

4. After I have installed the card (physically) should I just boot up my computer as I normally would? Is there anything else that I might/should/need to do following card installation to verify/activate my crossfire setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would uninstall them first, I know when I first put my second card it, it was a pain in the a$$ for some reason getting them to install correctly, not exactly sure why but after I removed them and then installed it, it was fine and has been fine even when updating now.

06yfz I have a question for you then. I told you I am new to the hardware aspects of this so answer me this. I am currently running my monitor through an HDMI port into my current 7950. If I uninstall drivers will I still be able to see my monitor though my onboard graphics display or will I have to connect to my mobo?
