So i mentioned this in one of my earlier posts conjoined in the cpu section but this will hopefully be more worthwhile here.

Basically i just need to hear some more peoples opinion or weather or not i should dive in for the 690 or not.

Now i arn't paying full retail price (Im not that retarded) but my buddy is wanting to part ex his with my own.

WHATS ON THE LINE
My Palit GTX 670 (Second hand prices are around 150-200)
£250

To me it seems a worthy upgrade to safeproof for afew years, plus i dont have to mess around with SLI Wiring, if i wanted a second card.

So in your own opinion (Yes im allowing your own opinion on the internet) should i Deal or No deal?, thanks for reading

Oh and another thing will a 690 run on my tx650 psu just find if i try and OC It to 1,000Mhz or not?

More about : advice gtx 690 gtx 690

yea your psu will hold it. i'd personally not get into the gtx x90 series because of the dual gpu architecture, but some people do like it. better keep your 670 and safe up for the next generation

scott it's fine iv'e know him for a long time he wants rid of it because some games dont use the full 4gb with the duel architecture, and to me it's fine, i trust him and plus it's a brand new card he recently spent a shit ton of money when he rebuilt his pc

the 690 is a boss of a card. However how boss will it be compared to if you save up and get a 800 series card? I'd say save up and get the new series from nvidia. Thats what im doing. next series might lay the smack down on a 690.

true but i probably wont upgrade for a long time after this, as iv'e only been on pc for about a year and abit now, and have always wanted the 690 when the oppertunity arised, and i know the 800 series will be good but i just want something at the moment where it kicks games asses in the teeth more than my 670, plus as i said before i wouldnt upgrade to the 800 series until about a year after it came out (wierd i know)

next gen as in 700 series or 800, because i can easily buy the 700 series but im the sorta person that goes through the current series im at,

:EXAMPLE
iv'e had every samsung galaxy going from the s series and have always bought it 1 year after release, so im forming the same pattern with pc parts.

as i said i'd wait. the 670 still kicks ass, and imo everything from nvidia above gtx x70 is not worth it looking at price/performance.

Think of it this way, you're getting a GTX 690 for (arguably) the price of a GTX 780 Ti, would you rather have the latter than the former? I know I'd prefer the 780 Ti.

690 outperforms 2 670s. a 690 consists of 2 680s on 1 pcb

That's why I added the "arguably" :)

The difference shouldn't be too much, maybe £30 more?

no im buying a new moniter soon, but im open to suggestions for cheap moniters over 1080,
http://www.cclonline.com/product/109328/VS238H-P/Monito...
link to the moniter i might be getting

That link IS a 1080p. I just don't feel it is worth the price and possible problems you might have.

Stay with your 670, your system is well balanced. Save the $$ for a cpu/mobo/gpu upgrade later.

haha only problem is with that mate it's £200 and my budget for a moniter is only 150-160, as iv'e already laid my budget out for what im wanting to get, so if you could suggest an awesome moniter around that price range...tops £175gbp or $287.81usd
