when I first got my gpu I could play all my games on ultra bf4..and many others very smoothly now im starting to see a bit of lag I have turned my settings down and i still have lag......iv read other forums where the same thing has happened to other people iv tried the things people have said like updating gpu drivers getting a malware scanner and other things... personally I kind of think it might be my psu dying but im willing to try other solutions before buying a new one..if anyone has any ideas would be appreciated..

pc specs...
win 7 ultimate x64
i7 3770k
16gb ram
msi z77 mpower
gtx 780ti
cx750 psu

Solution
If that happens in single player games I guess we can suspect the psu. But its hard to tell. A power drop to the gfx card would usually result in an nvidia driver warning, and it lowering the clock speed until reboot.

I don't think its overheating its water cooled and when gaming it goes up no higher the around 58 and I have malwarebytes scanner and that's saying my pc is all clear and for viruses I reinstalled windows not two days ago and it still does it :(

I detest the use constant use of the word 'lag' or 'lagging' to describe a problem. Lag is associated with networking and internet connections (high ping and such).

Low FPS is a different thing all together.

Input lag would be, you moving the mouse lets say, and it taking a second for that movement to happen on screen.

What about none online single player games, do they run fine ? or do you have the same problem ?

its not input lag ether but say im playing bf4 on ultra im getting about 80 to 90 fps and then it will drop to about 30-40fps for a second and straight back up like its losing power and in this time my player will be standing still

ok, so your not really looking at lag then. It would be handy if we knew what FPS you where getting, and what your getting now.

At this point the obvious thing to suggest is updating your drivers from the nvidia site.

I did what you said prime 95 running aswell as occt and I had evga precision x running so I could see the gpu temps and within 5 mins if u look at the fps u can see what I mean about its dropping constantly...... http://s955.photobucket.com/user/Steven_Solja_Lonsdale/media/DROPS_zpscbb3c185.png.html?sort=3&o=0
