Leds on when computer is turned off

Hello.
I am just wondering what was causing the leds on my motherboard to stay on even when the PC was turned off.
I had a Corsair AX850 PSU and it was working perfectly for two years. But during those two years the leds on my motherboard would also stay turned on when the PC was turned off. So I had to switch the PSU power button off every night because of a bright LED for the "clear CMOS" button at the back that was annoying.

As I ran into some problems with my PSU and was still under warranty I sent it back. While waiting for a replacement I borrowed a friend's Corsair HX450. Same thing there, the LEDS would stay on when the PC was off.

And then yesterday I got my new Corsair AX860 and now the LEDS are no longer turned on when I turn the PC off. They turn off after a few seconds after the PC has turned off.
How come this was happening and why isn't it happening on my new PSU?

Also while I am talking about the PSU I would also like to ask if I should use the Hybrid or Normal mode for the fan? What would be the best in your opinion?

Thank you very much in advance!

The LED's indicate a problem that the motherboard would like you to know about. But it looks like the issue has now been resolved.

My personal preference, on my own AX, is to run in 'Normal Mode.' My reasoning is that I would prefer that heat not build up to the point where the fan needs to run, that it is pushed out ASAP. I don't care about the sound of the fan.
Now I expect that the PSU is designed to run just fine in either mode, so it is really is up to you.

Thank you! I don't think that there was a problem. I mean the LED's I am talking about are one ''reset cmos'' button at the back of my case by the usb ports and the other LED's are a power and a reset button located on the motherboard. These LED's were on even when the pc was turned off.
Would these LED's indicate a problem?
